Samsung

Samsung's flagship Galaxy S3 was another success phone after Galaxy S2. S3 is ofcourse also running on android.

Samsung Galaxy S3 will have a hard time beating the sales record of S2 but again they're hitting nearly top scores in all reviews of this wonderful phone.

Samsung didn't change much either from the S2, the basic design concept of S2 is still recognizable as you can see here, comparing them next to eachother. They made it slightly rounder though, probably to avoid patent litigations with Apple, who was constantly picking on their design of the S2, claiming that it was too similar to their iPhone.
As you can see, they also decided to make the screen even larger, the S3 measures 4.8" in comparison to the S2's 4.3". This was quite surprising to me since I experienced alot of people already thinking it was almost too big. Almost feels like they forged the S2 and the Galaxy Note together.
When talking about the screen I can also mention that even though they increased the size of it they managed to advance som the S2's ~217ppi pixel density to the S3's 307 ppi. Smooth!

Samsung also announced that they'll release a Galaxy S3 with 4G support this winter.

What's your thoughts about the Galaxy S3?

iPhone 5

That's right, Apple announced that September 12th will they show us the new iPhone 5!

This is a video that leaked to YouTube from a person supposedly booting up his iPhone 5:
Doesn't say anywhere from where he got it though.

Well well, you can't really say that Apple has failed in any release of an iPhone so far. Probably depends on that they make very subtle changes to them and have a very loyal and dedicated clientele.
Something that I've personally reacted to regarding this is that there has been very little rumours compared to other iPhone(and Apple releases in general).
Have people got tired in trying to figure out what's coming next or do they just don't really care much what they're going to release?

More posts regarding the new iPhone will come after the release!

What's your predictions about the design and the success of the new iPhone? Will this be the first time an iPhone flops?

WP8

So. What about Windows Phone 8?

Personally I find it very healthy as a customer that there's a new operative system(or OS) coming to take some market place in the smartphone business. More competition = companies have to work harder to always be ahead of their competitor = customers gets the better and a more thought-through system.

It was clear to most people that Nokia was going to release a WP8, what surprised many though, was that also the south-korean company Samsung released a WP8:

Here you can see Samsung Ativ S. Their first WP8. Nothing really revolutionary in the tech specs section, just standard Samsung quality, awesome.

What do you think about Samsung releasing a WP8? Do you think it will distract them from focusing on producing top-performing android phones?

Connecting people

If you hadn't guessed it by the picture above, I'm going to dedicate this post to Nokia.

Nokia was a succesful mobile phone company until the smartphone era came. They made some bad decisions along the way and made some really messed up prioritys regarding smartphones, but who can blame them? Nobody could have predicted that the smartphone market grow to the size it is today:
I mean really.
Smartphones take up 63% of the market today, and it's just growing by the day. So let's not pick on Nokia for their decisions in not going all-in on smartphones.

But hey! They're back! After a while Nokia realized that smartphones was really the new shit and started putting some effort in that too. And 2012 they released four Windows 7 smartphones, the Lumia series.

And in just some weeks(?) we'll hopefully see the new WP8 phone from them aswell! And I guess since Microsoft decided to work hand in hand with Nokia in the development of WP8, it shows that the company is not dead yet as many people would like to claim.
If one of the worlds largest and most influential company decides to work with your company to develop something together I think you serve the right to be proud of yourself!

What's your thoughts and ideas about Nokia as a company?
